Missed registration or filing can become expensive very quickly

UAE Corporate Tax applies to financial years starting on or after 1 June 2023. Taxable persons, including free zone persons, are generally required to register for Corporate Tax and file a return within 9 months from the end of the relevant tax period.

The FTA has also introduced an initiative allowing eligible taxpayers to have the late registration penalty waived if they meet the required conditions, including submitting the first tax return within 7 months from the end of the first tax period.

Example: if your UAE company has a 31 December 2025 year-end, the Corporate Tax return and payment deadline would generally be 30 September 2026. Earlier action is strongly recommended because bookkeeping, accounts and tax adjustments may take time.

Deadline check

We review licence date, tax period and entity type before advising on the correct next step.

Penalty exposure assessment

We assess the AED 10,000 late registration penalty position and waiver eligibility.

Return filing preparation

We prepare the numbers properly before submission, not just upload incomplete figures.

Most UAE businesses must register and file — even where tax payable is nil

Corporate Tax compliance is relevant to a wide range of UAE businesses, including companies that expect 0% tax, free zone entities and small businesses claiming relief.

Mainland Companies

LLCs, civil companies, professional licences, trading companies and service businesses operating in Dubai and across the UAE.

Free Zone Entities

DMCC, Meydan, IFZA, RAKEZ, JAFZA, ADGM, DIFC and other free zone companies requiring registration, filing and status review.

Natural Persons

Individuals carrying on a UAE business or business activity may need to register where relevant turnover thresholds apply.

Dormant / Low Activity Entities

No tax does not usually mean no compliance. Dormant or low-revenue businesses may still need registration and return filing.

Small Businesses

Businesses with revenue up to AED 3 million may be able to elect for Small Business Relief, subject to conditions.

Cross-Border Businesses

UK owners, international shareholders and UAE businesses with overseas income may need careful tax residency and substance review.
